Essential Question: What plant should our class grow and what would that plant say about us as a class?
3rd period -
Group 1: Trevor, Ben ROSE
We picked a rose as a plant that describes us. We think that the stem is our life. The rose is heaven. And the thorns are the bad things in our life that tempt us to get off the path to heaven. We need to try to stay on our path and ignore the thorns in our life.
Group 2: Paris, Landon, David Chili Pepper Plant
The chili pepper plant is a small and fiery fruit that can be grown indoors. It is usually best grown in a warm climate. I think that it would great plant because it is fiery like our class. Our class is fun to be with.
Group 3: Jessica, Kendellan, Marissa, Katie
Our class is like a Honeysuckle because a Honeysuckle represents love and generosity. Our class is loving because we accept everyone as they are. Our class is like a big family. We are also generous because we share our stuff that other people need. Our class is like a Honeysuckle because we all are pretty on the outside, but very different on the inside, like all the different kinds of Honeysuckles. The Honeysuckle represents our class so well because are happy, joyful, and loving. In this class, we are all very bubbly and excited when we come into the room. We are very happy that we can go to a school where we can have good teachers, like Mrs. Osteen.
Group 4: Ann, Kerri, Reid
Pansy By: Kerri, Ann, and Reid Pansies are very bright and colorful flowers that bloom all year round. Pansies are also very easy to grow. They have an amazing array of colors and combinations. Pansies are mostly pink and purple but also are different colors. Some pansies even have a sweet fragrance but it is very hard to find it in them. Like the pansies us as a class can relate to this. We are bright and have good ideas to share with others. We can bloom where we are planted. The pansies are easy to grow like we are easy to learn. We have an amazing array of different kinds of people. It’s hard to find friends that shine in God’s eyes. God put us here on the Earth where we are and he wants us to shine.

Day lily- Hemerocalis We chose the day lily – Hemerocalis. We chose this beautiful flower because this flower has many different bunches of flowers in one plant. We think this flower relates to our class because there are big clans of flowers and little clans of flowers. Just like in our class there are big clicks and little clicks. This also relates to our class because it is a big flower and it reaches towards the sky, meaning that it is trying to grow towards god. We are all Christians so that’s what we are trying to do. Another way it relates to us is it shows the difference in every person because no one is the same!
Group 2: Naomi, Tayler, Ciara, Madi Daffodils
We chose daffodils because they are
gorgeous on the outside and on the inside.
They last a long time just like our love for
God should. They have a white outside just
like white stands for faith. They also have a
yellow inside which stands for our hearts
that God made to be pure just like him.
We chose the Hyacinth because it was colorful and big. How big it is shows us how we should grow spirituly and close to God and our friends. How colorful it is shows us how bright our lives should be like in academics, friends, and the Lord. There are alot of different petals all over it and that shows how close we should be and a good example to others that don't believe in Christ. This flower would make our classroom happier and brighter.

The Sunflower
By: Courtney and Jenny
We think the sunflower is a perfect example for what our classroom needs to be. You see the sunflower closes at night as if it is shutting out darkness or satin and it opens in the morning as if it is letting in the light or God. We are not exactly like the sunflower but we need to be so. Not just our class needs to be like sunflower but the whole world.
Group 5: Yari, Adjani, Niah, Brianna
As a group we choose the Peach Plumeria. We think that this flower is best for our class because it represents our class in so many ways. It's exciting and colorful just like our class. It is just like our class because our class has different people with different characteristics.
Group 6: Jackie, Ally Beth, Natalie, Ali, Julia
For our group, we decided that we should grow a sunflower for our class. We chose the sunflower because it grows when it is in sunlight and it withers when it is in darkness. We want to grow in God’s light and not in the Devil’s shadow. We also chose the sunflower because it grows very tall. We want to build up our faith as high as we can in God. That is why we chose the sunflower as what we should grow for our class.
Group 7: Marshall, Ryan, Justin
Neem Tree
The Neem tree is tall and supportive to plants and animals; just like our class, we teach about God and Jesus, and we are supportive to other people. The Neem seeds have special oil on them that can be made into soap and clean other people. Our class tries to help to clean our sins away so people don’t have a lot of guilt upon them. The Neem tree can help fight diseases in the Neem tree, and the old Indian saying is, the land where the Neem tree abound.
